Admission/Entry Requirements

We will consider you as an individual and take into account all elements of your application, not just your qualifications. We are looking for breadth and depth in your current studies and enthusiasm for the subject you wish to study. Standard entry students will need to have a good undergraduate honours degree from a recognised university in any field to pursue this qualification; the background degree should indicate basic quantitative skills. Applicants with different subject areas will be considered on an individual basis according to their relevant professional experience or qualification. Transfer applicants will be required to go through the Recognition of Prior Learning process (RPL), whilst non-standard applicants will need to evidence their relevant work experience.

Assessments

The underpinning philosophy of all assessments is to develop both your knowledge and skills to enter employment as a confident manager with a strong base from which to meet your own aspirations. This requires consideration of your own personal capabilities as well as looking outward at the business world. All assessments are rooted in authentic and practical workplace scenarios to enable the integration of theory and practice in dynamic `real-world work contexts. To facilitate learning for all students, a range of assessment methods are used throughout the course, including:

  • Business Reports to demonstrate contextual insight and professional practice;
  • Project Plans to demonstrate project planning skills;
  • Seminar Papers to develop critical analysis skills;
  • In-class tests of your knowledge of core concepts in context;
  • Project Report integrates learning throughout the course independently applied in practice;
  • A business simulation where you demonstrate the impact of your strategic decision making.

Fees and Funding

The University of Bedfordshire fee will be directly payable to the university on the given deadline, which will be communicated to the student in the Acceptance Letter when the student successfully secures a place in the programme. The fee will be due annually for the duration of the degree. IVY fee will be charged on a semester-wise basis. Mode of Study

The MBA in the University of Bedfordshire is taught using face-to-face learning. Students will have access to IVY resources as well as the University of Bedfordshire BREO/VLE to complete their studies/modules. Support will be provided by local and link tutors at IVY and UOB.
