Counselling and Mental Health Service

The Counselling and Mental Health service comprises trained practitioners to help students manage any problems that are affecting and have an influence on the young minds. The things that have a deep impact on the learning of the student are communicated and resolved through therapies. We believe that ‘metal well-being’ of our students is a strong requirement in schools, as counseling can resolve many issues and let the student lead smooth life.

What is Counselling?

Counselling means “Talk Therapy” in which a student is allowed to speak out the issues and the problems he is facing, all of this is confidential and just between the counselor and the student. This talk therapy helps the counselor to lead and guide the student. In other words, counselling resolves many mental issues and is confidential, never judgmental.

What is Student Mental Health?

Brain is an active part of your body and is alive even when asleep. All the emotional, social and psychological issues remains in the subconscious. Thus, they cause disturbance in a student’s brain, which never allows successful engagement with their studies.

How We Deal With Students, Why They Must Reach Us?

The mental-wellbeing department of IVY includes professional trainers, which will do counselling of various students to bring them out form any trauma they face. We have criteria to observe students and cater their problems. Our Mental Well-Being and Counselling Center is open for all. On the other hand, we observe the behavior and temperaments of students to see what lacks them behind. We make sure that students may feel comfortable and have the space to open up with the counselor so that they can professionally cater with all the sufferings of a student that makes him lag behind.

Common Students Concerns which Let Them Lag Behind:

  • Issues of being far away from family or friends.
  • The problem of living an independent life without any help – stress and feeling lonesome.
  • Difficulty to adjust in High school.
  • Being extremist in academic life or showing careless attitude towards academic life.
  • Alien to University Life.
  • Anxiety or depression
  • Suffering from a break-up of a relationship
  • Facing problems at home
  • Parental Issues

The “Mental Well-Being” center of IVY has a team of professional counselors that help students out if any mental issues throws them off track or affects the capability to concentrate on studies.
